Collection Display features HANEISHI Koji（1903-1988）, the Japanese-style painter who was born in Motegi Town, Tochigi.
Studied under KOBORI Tomoto and YASUDA Yukihiko, he made Japanese modern historical paintings based on strict historical study. Having been active in Nihon Bijutsuin(Japan Art Institute), he filled DO-NIN(同人),a top member in 1955. He had been a Japanese modern historical painter until the end of the Showa Period.
In addition, we exhibit our newly collection of recent years, and Japanese modern historical paintings that made the stage for HANEISHI.
